Thomson Ecology and Thomson Habitats have had an extensive working relationship with the Kier group over the last couple of years. We have been working closely with Kier, and their WEM framework consortium, Team Van Oord, to assist with the delivery of flood defence and flood alleviation schemes.
As part of this relationship, and in collaboration with other members of the Kier supply chain, Thomson Ecology and Thomson Habitats have been invited to speak at a training day for the Kier environmental team on Tuesday 5th April. The day will focus on ecology, and will aim to inform Kier representatives about the latest cutting edge developments within the industry and any relevant changes to legislation.
Following the rapid use of eDNA for GCN surveys, and the latest Natural England consultation on licensing for works affecting great crested newts and other European protected species, we thought that presenting on this topic couldn’t have come at a better time!
Keep your eyes peeled on our website/blog, for a downloadable copy of the presentation and a summary of the day.
