We are thrilled to announce that Thomson Ecology’s “TIM” – Thomson Interactive Mapping – has won the Company Innovation of the Year prize at the Construction News Awards 2015.
TIM, described as “truly game-changing” by the judges, was declared the winning innovation, beating off the seven other competitors in the category including London Underground, J Murphy & Sons and Costain.
In March the panel of 55 industry experts compiled the shortlist from all the entrants, after which we presented our innovation to the panel, explaining to the judges how TIM stands out amongst other interactive mapping initiatives.
The awards ceremony was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 30th June where 1,200 industry members got together to celebrate the awards, and of course to make the most of the opportunity to network!
Tim Donoyou, Head of Geospatial at Thomson Ecology, who collected the award, said, “Winning this award is an amazing achievement, especially as we were in competition with some large companies with some fascinating innovations. TIM had already proved itself in the field through projects like East West Rail, but winning the Construction News’ Innovation of the Year award will, we hope, bring it to the attention of potential clients who haven’t yet had the opportunity to try it.”
