Last week, Mike Harris, Commercial Manager, and Tim Donoyou, GIS Manager, presented to the judging panel of the Construction News Awards 2015.
We had been shortlisted in the Company Innovation of the Year category for our TIM initiative – Thomson Interactive Mapping.
The presentation gave Mike and Tim the opportunity to explain to the judges just how TIM stands out amongst other interactive mapping initiatives, and how it can revolutionise the management of ecology on projects, leading to significant savings on cost and time.
Tim Donoyou, Head of Geospatial at Thomson Ecology, said, ” We are implementing our TIM innovation across all of our projects, for all our surveys and site work. A specific example is the East West Rail reinstatement between Oxford and Bedford”.
Will Botting of Construction News said, “Once again the awards have received a record number of quality entries this year, so making it onto the shortlist is a fantastic achievement.”
The winners will be announced at the Construction News Awards on Tuesday 30th June at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
