Marine Energy Wales is a partnership between technology developers, the supply chain, academia and the public sector, working to establish Wales as a “centre of excellence” for sustainable marine energy generation. The conference on the 30th March at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea, marks the launch of the partnership, whose aim is to develop a sustainable marine energy industry, establishing Wales as a centre of excellence.
With substantial funding prioritised for marine energy, Wales has the potential to become a market leader in this sector.
The keynote address from Ken Skates AM, Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure , will be followed by speakers from Floating Power Plant, Marine Power Systems, Minesto, Morlais, OpenHydro and Wave Hub Ltd.
