We are delighted to announce that we will be exhibiting at the upcoming Highways UK Conference, which will be held between October 16th and 17th at the NEC in Birmingham, at stand 73.
The Highways UK Conference brings together people who are responsible for managing, maintaining, and future-proofing the nation’s road networks. Attendees are industry experts who will be sharing their insights on all matters involving the UK’s highway infrastructure.
With over 375 exhibitors from around the globe, this market-leading event provides us with a great platform to connect with fellow industry professionals and explore the future of road networks in the UK.
This year, two members of the Thomson EC team will be exhibiting at the event. Located at stand 73, our Business Development Director, Daniel Reynolds, will be in attendance. Daniel will also be joined by our Associate Director, James Turner.
Our team will be showcasing their expertise on a number of crucial topics. These include ecological services and mitigation, biodiversity net gain, habitat creation and enhancement and arboricultural surveys. Each of these services can be crucial aspects of a highway development scheme. It is important to work with an expert to explore suitable survey and mitigation solutions which take into consideration legal and regulatory compliance.
As a leading voice for environmental consultants, we will address a number of key industry challenges. High on the agenda will be discussing the lack of ecological resources and available support within the highway infrastructure sector. Our team will also discuss biodiversity net gain legislation and how this can affect client sites.
Additionally, we will explore how our team helps to ensure works are planned well in advance of seasonal restrictions. For example, there are restrictions on when we can survey for protected species which means road schemes may need to consider additional time constraints in a program to account for legally mandated assessments.
Throughout the event, our team hopes to connect with key industry professionals and share insights into the work we do at Thomson Environmental Consultants.
With 20 years of experience in the highways infrastructure industry, we aim to showcase the key services we provide for the sector. For a number of years, we have supported the development of our nation’s highways. This often involves complex cases of habitat management, mitigation and surveys.
It’s still not too late to get in touch regarding any highways-related works; please email [email protected] or see our website www.thomsonec.com.
