Ever wondered what it’s like working as a Senior Project Manager for an environmental consultancy?
Wulfric Blackwell recently published a career profile with the Countryside Jobs Service to give graduates and career changers an insight into his role as Senior Project Manager within our Habitats Team at Thomson environmental consultants.
Wulfric discusses the projects he’s been involved in which have included; building ponds and hibernacula for for great crested newts, creating reptile basking banks, planting woodland and hedgerows, sewing wildflower meadows and translocating ancient woodlands, hazel dormouse and protected orchids.
Thomson hired Wulfric primarily for his passion and motivation for the job which shone through during his interview. Since he started over 5 years ago, he has completed several qualifications funded by Thomson including Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), Institutional Safety and Health (IOSH), Prince 2 Foundation and Association of Project Management (APM) Fundamentals, NPTC trained in brush cutter and chipper use and CAT and Genny Level 2 training.
