What do you do at Thomson?
I’ve recently been managing multiple HS2 projects undertaking Ecological Mitigation site creation and their continued maintenance in line with HS2 standards and requirements. This includes careful management of budget, programme, and teams.

What does a typical day at work look like?
Communicating with a range of people from HS2 clients to subcontractors and suppliers. Liaising with site teams to provide them information on the planned works and the timeframe within which we have deliver our works. Attending meetings with clients, working on new bids and tenders. Writing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statement), ensuring all paperwork, permits and permissions are in place. Submitting AFPs (Application For Payment) and raising invoices. Managing my team of Project Managers and helping to build up their knowledge base, skills and experience.
Where did you study?
I studied Entertainment Technology BSc at the University of Portsmouth
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Running, cycling and adventure treks.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, Aska. He is a rescue greyhound and is coming up to 6 years old.
